BRENDA RAABE'S FLORIDA FLOWER GARDEN
In the Spring of 2007, Brenda Raabe of Florida, decided to try her luck with sunflowers.  She purchased some seeds and planted them in the front of her house out by the mail box.  The sunflowers were not doing well and in fact looked quite straggly.  One day an older neighbor was walking by and he told Brenda her sunflowers didn't look so good, but the fellow up the road has some nice ones.  The gentleman let her know this a couple of times and she was getting rather frustrated so called Stan to see what she might be doing wrong.   She told Stan what the old man had said and that if that he told her that one more time she was going to wring his neck!  Stan of course just laughed.  Well, Brenda's sunflowers just didn't do well at all and she wasn't going to plant any more.  (This was hard for me to believe, have you seen the pictures of Brenda's flowers?  She grows such a beautiful garden of flowers!!)     But anyway...  The first part of 2008, (after Stan's death) Brenda looked out her front window to see a beautiful sunflower standing proud and tall with a nice strong stock and a perfect bloom! .....   Did the microbes nurse a seed to health and bring forth the beautiful sunflower, or is it a gift from Stan?  I'd say, its both!  Brenda's last report is that the plant now has "50" blooms on it!  That is 50 blooms on a single plant!  Spectacular!!!    NEW UPDATE!  The Stan FLower has a whopping 300+ blooms or buds on it! We are waiting for a picture.
Thank you for sharing this with us Brenda.
